SUMMARY:Wildlife 101: Understanding and Helping Our Local Wild Neighbors
DESCRIPTION:San Luis Obispo County is home to an incredible diversity of wildlife\, but our wild neighbors face many challenges in today’s world. Join Pacific Wildlife Care’s Kelley Boland for a discussion on some of the biggest threats to wildlife and what we can do to help. Kelley will also share what to do if you encounter an injured\, sick\, or orphaned wild animal. The presentation will include a special visit from one of Pacific Wildlife Care’s Animal Ambassadors. \nKelley Boland\, Development Coordinator\, Pacific Wildlife Care \nKelley Boland is the Development Coordinator at Pacific Wildlife Care\, where she works to support the organization’s fundraising\, community partnerships\, and outreach. She holds a master’s degree in Conservation Ecology from New Mexico State University and a bachelor’s degree in Field and Wildlife Biology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Before joining PWC’s development team\, Kelley worked with the organization as a wildlife rehabilitation technician and volunteer.
